The International Pirate Community wishes to formally recognize and honor the legacy of Captain Kraven Moregrog Douglas Kosarek a respected leader and influential figure in the coulture of pirate entertainment. Doug Kosarek was more than a pirate or crew leader. He was a builder of community, a guardian of pirate values, and a driving force behind one of the most significant pirate crews in the United States. Through his leadership, dedication, and presence, he helped shape the modern pirate movement in America with Thee Leviathan.

Doug also played an important role in pirate entertainment media, contributing through his publications and platforms to preserving and promoting pirate culture. His work is deeply embedded in the history of entertainment piracy and continues to influence pirates across generations and borders.

Above all, Doug believed in piracy as a means of connection, purpose, and brotherhood. Thanks to the Accore with the Order of Leviathan, his impact reached far beyond events and gatherings it lived in the people he inspired, mentored, and brought together.

The International Pirate Community salutes Doug Kosarek for his service to the pirate world. We extend our deepest respect, gratitude, and condolences to his family, his crew, and all those who sailed beside him.

In Loving Memory of Captain MoreGrog (Doug)

Today we mourn the passing of our friend, our Captain, our brotheDoug, Captain MoreGrog.

To his family and all who loved him beyond our Crewe, we offer our deepest condolences on this profoundly sad day. Doug was a kind man. A peaceful man. A man of integrity full of charisma, vibrancy, and a goodness that reached people without effort. He held this world with a pirate’s heart and built a Crewe like no other one bound not by titles, but by loyalty, tradition, and genuine friendship.

We salute our Captain for his support, his guidance, and his dedication but most of all, for the friendship he gave so freely. As he sails onward to Fiddler’s Green, we honor him the old way… the way pirates would: with a drink, a toast, a prayer whatever each of us can offer from the heart.

As Leviathans, we will carry forward what he helped shape: our traditions, our values, and the bonds we forged along the way. This is a heavy day for all of us, and we wish peace to everyone mourning and peace to Doug and his family.

Captain, you will always be remembered… and we will always remember that beautiful smile.
