A Last Farewell to Captain Crimson

Today, the International Pirate Community lowers its colors and raises a final glass to Timothy “Cap N Crimson” Morris, a beloved pirate, friend, and brother of the community.
The stories being shared about Tim speak of something greater than a costume or a pirate persona. They speak of a man who had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome.
One story, in particular, captures his spirit perfectly.
A young festival-goer arrived during Pirate Weekend feeling like an outsider, unsure whether he truly belonged among the pirates. Then a larger-than-life captain dressed in red approached, welcomed him like an old friend, and reminded him that everyone was a pirate that day.
It may have seemed like a simple joke and a shared toast to Tim, but for that person, those few words changed everything. They opened the door to a community, to friendships, to countless memories, and to a life lived among pirates.
That was Captain Crimson.
He didn't simply dress the part. He helped create the feeling of what being a pirate community could be: welcoming, generous, mischievous, and always ready to raise a glass with a stranger who might soon become a friend.
From the messages of those who knew him come the same sentiments again and again: great pirate mate, dear friend, brother, Captain Crimson. A man who will be remembered not only for the red he wore, but for the warmth he brought wherever he went.
Tim, your ship has now sailed beyond our horizon.
But your story remains here, carried by every pirate who knew you, every friend who shared a drink with you, and every person you welcomed into the crew.
So tonight, the International Pirate Community raises its glasses.
To Captain Crimson.
To friendship.
To brotherhood.
To the strangers you welcomed.
To the pirates you inspired.
And to the memories that will continue to sail long after you have passed beyond the horizon.
May the waters ahead be calm, the winds be fair, and may Fiddler’s Green have a place waiting for you.
And perhaps, somewhere beyond the horizon, there is a tavern where an old pirate in red is already leaning against the bar, waiting for the next crew to arrive.
Fair winds and following seas, Captain Crimson.
From all of us in the International Pirate Community:
Rest in peace, Tim.
You were one of our own.
You will be missed by many, remembered by all, and your legacy will sail with us forever.
